E-Books for Illinois Readers

If you have a library card from a participating library, you can download eRead Illinois electronic books to your tablet, computer, or other device. These e-books are available in the libraries’ online catalogs. Check our List of Libraries to see if your library is participating.

If your library isn’t an eRead Illinois member, they may have other e-book options available. Contact your library for information.

Where to Find eRead Illinois E-Books

In the SHARE catalog (which includes hundreds of libraries in southern and east-central Illinois), eRead Illinois e-books use the Cloud Library platform, and are marked with Cloud Library and e-book icons. You can also browse the shared collection by visiting the SHARE Cloud Library web portal.

In other library catalogs, eRead Illinois e-books use the Baker & Taylor Axis 360 platform. Different catalogs may use different labels for the eRead Illinois e-books. The Axis 360 e-books are also available through a central portal: eRead Illinois Axis 360 Shared Collection.
